Dress Code

A professional beauty uniform or scrubs are preferred, but if you are new to the industry plain black long sleeve clothing is fine (long sleeves must be able to be rolled up to prevent cross contamination). Jewellery to be removed, hair tied off the face, no excessive long nails, no flip flops or sliders, all shoes must be close toed.

Unlike our access to aesthetics package 1 this package enables you to progress straight through covering Filler and Wrinkle Relaxing so there is no 6 months wait.

Online Learning

The Focus Awards Level 4 In Anatomy & Physiology (RQF) is all at home learning. You will be assigned an online learning account where you can begin working through your written assignments.

You will also receive pre course material for Dermaplaning, Microneedling, Chemical Peels, B12 Injections, Foundation Dermal Fillers and Foundation Wrinkle Relaxing which you must read and complete before the training days. This will be completed via our online learning system.

Part 1 (Focus Awards Level 4 In Anatomy & Physiology (RQF)

This is the most important part of the course as it gives you the in-depth knowledge and understanding you need to feel confident offering treatments. The aim of this OFQUAL recognised qualification, Focus Awards Level 4 Award in Facial Anatomy and Physiology (RQF), is to provide knowledge and understanding of the anatomy and physiology associated with the facial area.

This qualification will provide a solid foundation for you to work toward future higher-level courses and can open up a wider range of insurances available to you as an industry professional.

There is a workbook to complete using the online learning platform, that you will be given access to, and further research methods of your choosing.

Part 2 (Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels and Microneedling)

The next part of this course includes theory and practical training in Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels and Microneedling. These courses are very enjoyable to do and do not come with lots of contra indications. Which means you should feel at ease when performing these treatments as we understand for some of you, it may be quite nerve racking to begin with. Facial treatments have become very popular and they’re great to have on your portfolio. You will firstly complete the theory for each of these treatments online and then go on to do the practical. The practical training will usually last for half a day for each facial course, please note the practical training days will not be consecutive.

Part 3 (Vitamin B12)

The next part of this course will be the Vitamin B12 training. This treatment is beneficial for people who may be lacking in Vitamin B12 and need that extra boost, so it is another treatment that is great to be able to offer to your own client base. You will first complete online training, and then will go on to do practical training in the classroom.

Part 4 (Foundation Filler & Wrinkle Relaxing)

You would have now reached the final stages of your course, which includes Foundation Filler and Foundation Wrinkle Relaxing training. These courses will be the most challenging and most exciting to do. For both courses you will complete online theory. You will then complete 2 days’ worth of practical in foundation fillers in which you will cover areas such as the lips, chin, marionette lines and cheeks. For wrinkle relaxing you will complete 1 day of practical training focusing on areas such as crows’ feet, frown lines and forehead lines. Both courses require 6 case studies, in which we aim for you to complete on the days of your practical training. However, if you are ever left with any remaining case studies to complete, we will arrange for you to come back to the academy to complete them or you can complete these at home if you feel competent enough.

Further Online Learning

The final part of your online learning journey to get your business really going will be covering Social Media & Marketing, Employment Law and how to set up your business. This will be a total of 25 hours which will give all the hints, tips and knowledge to create and run a successful business.

• Focus Awards Level 4 Anatomy & Physiology (RQF) (Online qualification) accessed through our online learning system. This will take around 20 hours to complete and is assignment based – no exam.
• Infection Control and Health & Safety (Pre ready booklet included) certification will be gained via observation during assessment and case studies within the technical modules.
• Chemical Peels (Exam and assignment) certification will be gained via observation/assessment.
• Dermaplaning (Exam and assignment) certification will be gained via observation/assessment.
• Microneedling (Exam and assignment) certification will be gained via observation/assessment.
• Vitamin B12 (Exam and assignment) Certification will be gained via observation/assessment.
• Foundation Fillers (Exam and assignment) certification will be gained via observation/assessment and case studies (5 case studies)
• Foundation Wrinkle Relaxing (Exam and assignment) certification will be gained via observation/assessment and case studies (5 case studies)
• Business Set Up and Marketing (Assignment, no case studies or exam) 1 week.
• Social Media (Assignment, no case studies or exam) 1 week.
