Basal Metabolic Rate Copy

What is meant by Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).

When someone is completely inactive, they still need food and drink to make energy to keep them alive. Energy is needed to breath, make the heart beat, and maintain all the body’s chemical reactions etc.

The BMR is the minimum energy requirement that an inactive person needs to exist. It is above 7000 kj per day. If the individual was to sit up, feed self etc then they would need more food/drink to make more energy.
