It is important to educate client’s on aftercare advice following treatment to increase the benefits of the treatment they have had, make further improvements and prevent any unwanted results. All clients should be told about contra-actions (potential results following treatment) and what to do in the event of this happening.
It is important to advise the client to rest for a few hours once they get home, to avoid a large or heavy meal, or any form of strenuous exercise activities, and to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
