How to use radio frequency in a treatment

Attachment 3

  • Radio Frequency
  1. Cover the face in ultrasound gel or another gel suitable for electrical facial therapies. Make sure that there is sufficient coverage as burns can occur.
  2. Select the setting of 7, this is your average setting. Check the temperature on the cheek with the client, they should feel warmth. If not then the setting can be increased and if it is too hot then the setting can be reduced. The higher the energy the higher the temperature so ensure the attachment stays moving and monitor the skin
  3. Work over the face using lifting and gliding movements and make sure the attachment is always moving. Constantly monitor the skin and check the temperature with the client regularly (8-10 minutes)
  4. Remove any excess gel using clean water and your sponges.
