An essential guide on completing the written work.
As part of this qualification, you are required to produce a workbook to prove competency.
This work will be electronically created and emailed to your tutor for marking. It cannot be handwritten and must be typed and emailed in a word/editable format, pdf is not editable. Please submit the correct format to avoid delay in returning to you.
The work MUST be word processed using the task sheets that have been uploaded to this platform. These tasks use word or you can use google docs if you do not have access to word on a computer.
Google docs is a FREE app/website that works the same as word. Go to http://drive.google.com to access or set up your account.

You will not find all the answers on this platform and a key part of working at Level 4 is that you are required to carry out research using reliable methods. Reliable methods do NOT include using wikipedia!!
Once you have completed the assignment/workbook you must email it to your tutor so that it can be marked. If the tutor needs you to complete additional work, to ensure it fits the stated criteria, this will be on the feedback sheet. Once amendments have been completed resubmit to your tutor for remarking.
These assignments MUST be completed to a Level 4 standard of academic writing with Harvard referencing.

If your referencing, or work, is not up to the required standard your tutor will provide you with feedback to make the required amendments before it can be classed as a pass.
As a guide Level 4 is classed as higher education (university level) so your work must reflect this level also.
Ensure that you you are aware of what plagiarism is and how to reference correctly.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER-
- Please limit how much you are referencing, especially the same resource. To complete the whole assignment a maximum of 10 citations (resources used for your research) is perfect.
- Please limit ‘direct quotations’, keep it to a maximum of 2. Words should be paraphrased into your own words as this demonstrates your learning and understanding.
This is a Level 4 qualification therefore your assignment work MUST reflect this. If your work does not meet this level your work will be sent back to you with an action plan to be completed and resubmitted.
Please see these key points that MUST be adhered to-
- Work MUST be in your words. You cannot copy and paste large amounts of text and use them as a quote to answer your question. You must transfer the work you have read, as part of your research, into your own words.
- DO NOT OVER REFERENCE. Limit your references to a maximum of 10.
- Work must be detailed and presented in paragraphs as this demonstrates L4 criteria have been met. Bullet points and lists are L3 not L4.
- Pay attention to the command verbs in the question. If a question is asking ‘explain’ or ‘describe’ this means detail and specifics are needed.
