Pigments:

When eyebrow pigment is implanted into the procedure site the initial implanted colour will be 40% darker than the final healed result.  It is important that the client is aware that the colour will fade, and the final healed result will be apparent 4 weeks post procedure.  Assure the client that if they are not entirely happy with the result that adjustments can be made at the control visit.

If the practitioner has miscalculated the colour choice for the client’s skin undertone and the healed result has:

• A cool blue grey cast adjustment can be made at the control visit by implanting brow pigments with a warm orange tone
• A red orange cast adjustment can be made at the control visit by implanting brow pigments with an olive tone
• A purple cast can be made at the retouch visit by implanting brow pigments with a warm yellow tone.  Remember that yellow heals the lightest in the skin and may require 2-3 corrective procedures to get the required result.

If the practitioner is unsure of how the colour will heel a colour test in the procedure zone can determine if the correct colour choice has been made.

To give the most realistic effect the practitioner can use two eyebrow colours to create the illusion of lighter and darker hues – giving a textural effect to the finished result.  Both colours must be adjusted accordingly.
