Eye brow enhancement procedure
- Start the appointment with an assessment of your face shape, hair color and existing eyebrow condition. After cleansing the eyebrows and the surrounding area, we take photos and apply a Lidocaine-based numbing cream. While the cream is taking effect, we custom match a pigment shade based on your existing hair and skin color. About 30 minutes later, we wipe off the numbing cream and clean the area with an alcohol wipe. We are now ready to design the perfect eyebrow shape for you.
- Shape creation – this is done by using a calliper, to determine how your client’s brows will look
- Generally, there is 2.5 – 3cm space between the brows, this is deemed to be the perfect dimension, this is called the bulb
- Then mark the highest part of the brow around 3.5/4 cm from the bulb, this is called the arch
- Then mark the tail 5 – 5.5 cm from the bulb
- Always honour the natural shape of the brow
- We mark the 7 main proportional lines and measure for symmetry from left to right. As we connect the dots, the perfect eyebrow shape reveals itself.
- We will tweak and adjust until you are 100% satisfied with the result. Once you initial your confirmation of the desired pigment shade and eyebrow shape, the Express My Brow can begin.
- We will never do any permanent work until that step is completed.
- You will reach the highest point first, gap filling and texturing the natural brow as you work using your eyes to identify areas to fill
- Use your white pencil to camouflage any stray hairs outside the newly created shape and remove them with a disposable scalpel after the first pass, you will be able to see the shape in situ at this point, so this is the ideal time to work with this
