What to tell the client about aftercare
Ø WAIT until all the scabs have fallen off. Clients can resume their activities immediately after each session but may not look their complete best during the healing process (which lasts 3-7 days in normal circumstances)
Ø The area treated MUST NOT be covered with any type of makeup, mascara, creams or other product (outside of what we recommend) until the area has fully healed. Wash gently with tepid water twice a day. Any other treatment or wearing makeup could resulting unnecessary infections and undesired effects.
Ø The treatment can be moderately uncomfortable to the client depending on the area being treated. Numbing products should be used (in line with local Authority regulations) for ease of treatment and comfort especially during eyelid (blepharoplasty)procedures
Ø Swelling for one to five days after the cosmetic treatment is normal and be expected. Make client the aware of this at consultation stage. Our plasma pen delivers sorter downtimes, faster recovery periods and far superior results so swelling is usually minimal.
How to stop a scab from scarring
The main way of preventing a scab from becoming a scar is by promoting tissue repair. Your body already has its own natural ability to heal and sometimes too much help from us or the client can irritate the scab and make your client more susceptible to scarring. We advise: –
Ø Apply silver colloidal Gel with Aloe Vera or plaxpot up to three times per day. If the scab and the surrounding area is kept minimally hydrated, then not only will the client experience relief from possible itching but it will help expedite a rapid healing process due to the natural properties of the ingredients.
Ø Taking the heat out of the micro-burns by using our Aloe Vera masks for example – helps prevent inflammation.
Ø Get the client to take a high dose of vitamin c supplements over the course of the healing process also helps gives their immune system a big boost. That in turn helps them to repair faster.
