Aim: To obtain basic knowledge of skincare products and perform an express facial treatment.
Objectives: To achieve the aim we will cover the following:
- Define the purpose of an express facial and the benefits of providing this treatment
- Identify a range Contraindications that may affect the treatment
- Prepare the work area and the client to carry out a treatment safely and effectively
- Practice sufficient hygiene practices and follow Health & Safety in line with legislation
- Carry out a consultation, following data protection protocols
- Identify and classify various skin types
- Select and use the right products and protocols to match the clients skin type
- Examine the associated anatomy and physiology of the skin
- Carry out a practical express facial treatment
- Describe facial contractions and aftercare advice to be given.

LEARNING METHODS
You will demonstrate competence by attending the in person session and answering questions when asked as well as carrying out a practical treatment while the tutor watches and provides any support, if needed.
